Google Adwords Callouts
Google implemented Callouts yesterday. They’re basically an ad extension without being a link. Some really beneficial elements to this:
1) It’s an extra line, stacking the horizontal real estate of your placement
2) There’s more room to speak to your USPs: free shipping, price matchings, etc.
3) Quality score weighting. This one is huge.
The importance that this line factors into quality score and ad rank cannot be understated. Quality Score is how Adwords advertisers drop cost per click while increasing the placement of their ad. This will be a heavily looked at feature for SEM experts everywhere.
Callouts will be available to all advertisers in the next few weeks.
